Beach/Shore Cleanup
Myrtle Point Park is a passive, natural, park located on 192 acres in rural St. Mary's County, Maryland. Access to the park is restricted to foot traffic for most of the year, allowing the park to maintain its natural condition. The park contains magnificent bluffs that overlook the Patuxent River, as it nears the great Chesapeake Bay. As a part of the Chesapeake Bay Coastal and Tributary (CBCT) system, Myrtle Point Park contains over 20 kilometers of coastline, shallows, and tidal inlets. All attendees of this activity need to wear protective clothing that is suitable for shoreline activities. Be sure to bring work gloves, sunscreen, bug repellant, and a hat!
