Steven James Jirschele, 49. Shot at least four times June 20 in a home he shared with his girlfriend, Susan D. Corbett. Washington County sheriff's deputies found Jirschele's body about 6:30 a.m. in a bedroom of the one-story home in the 19300 block of Southwest Southview Street in Aloha. Corbett, 35, admitted to sheriff's deputies that she shot and killed her boyfriend after using heroin and cocaine. Jirschele was a custodian at Aloha High School at the time of his death. Corbett had worked at Conestoga Middle School until she was fired in September 2001 after she rammed the back of a school bus full of students with a district vehicle and failed a drug test. Evidence showed Corbett shot Jirschele twice in the chest, once in the back and the final one with the gun muzzle pressed against the victim's forehead just above his right eye. She was convicted of murder and sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.
