Descripción del sitio

Sean Michael Busa, 32. Stabbed with scissors and beaten to death with a golf club and hockey stick on April 9 in his home in the 500 block of South Sixth Avenue in Cornelius. His 5-year-old son, Michael David Busa, was badly beaten and his throat slit, then left for dead. The boy lost nearly half his blood before a co-worker of his father's found him. Andrew Lawrence Gordon, a 17-year-old high school dropout who lived nearby, wanted to burglarize a house to help pay for his drug habit. Gordon, dressed in all black with gloves and a ski mask, spotted the satellite dish on the roof of Busa's house. There were no cars in the driveway, and Gordon thought nobody was home. Gordon slipped in through the unlocked sliding glass door and headed for the stereo and electronic games. But when he saw Busa asleep in bed, Gordon attacked the man. When the boy awoke and began screaming, Gordon used a pair of scissors to slit the boy's throat. The next afternoon, a co-worker stopped by to talk to Busa and found the bloody scene. Gordon pleaded guilty to aggravated murder, robbery, burglary, attempted aggravated murder and assault, and was sentenced to 55 years to life in prison.
