Descripción del sitio

(Unsolved)
Gerardo Pizano Arteaga, 45. The Hillsboro man was discovered early Sept. 24 behind Joe's Pastime Tavern, 359 E. Main St. Pizano Arteaga died later that day at Legacy Emanuel Hospital & Health Center in Portland. An autopsy showed his skull had been crushed with more force than could be sustained in a fist fight or by someone wielding a club. Police said it was unlikely he died from an assault and was probably accidental, but the case was still listed as a homicide. Police say it is possible a car or truck or heavy movable object struck Pizano Arteaga. Detectives determined Pizano Arteaga left a friend's home in Hillsboro about 9:30 p.m. Sept. 23. Police were told he was drunk when he left. Police believe Pizano Arteaga may have been on his way to the tavern when he was hurt.
