Carlos Jaimes-Bravo, 17. The Cornelius man was stabbed to death while visiting his girlfriend Sept. 11 at a manufactured home park in the 3800 block of Pacific Avenye in Forest Grove. Alejandro Romero Navarro, 16, of Forest Grove was arrested on an accusation of murder. Police said the two knew each other and the fight escalated from an exchange of angry words to shoving, slapping and punching before Romero pulled a knife. Police said Jaimes-Bravo was not armed. Romero testified that he stabbed Jaimes in self-defense. Jaimes suffered nine wounds, two of them fatally puncturing the heart, as he was being pursued by Romero, according to testimony. Romero was convicted of first-degree manslaughter and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
