Alex Andrew Andrus, 28. Shot during a dispute about methamphetamine about 2 p.m. Aug. 31. Kenneth Roy Bonus, 44, was accused of firing two shots during an alleged assault by three acquaintances, including Andrus. One of the shots stuck and killed Andrus. After the shots were fired, Bonus called police to report the assault at the Hillsboro home the men shared. Bonus told detectives he fired in self-defense. The Washington County District Attorney ruled the shooting as self-defense.
