Descripción del sitio
Built in 1911-1935, the library is home to a collection that dates back to 1714, when Antonio Magliabechi donated over 30,000 books to create the first public library in Florence. In 1855, it became the official centre where you could find a copy of any book published in Italy. However, the 1966 flood destroyed one third of the Library’s holdings.
The National Library is not only a quiet place to study, but an event destination open to the public. Keep up-to-date on the latest at the library with TF Events section!
