Dawson D'Souza We've had a series of burglaries on my street (near sth Ballajura primary school) during the Christmas/new years break. People tried to rob mine too but were unsuccessful in getting in. Another house near my street was robbed around 2 weeks back.
An attempted burglary also occurred during Jan, a neighbour down the road saw a young 12-15 yr old African boy break a back door house window and scared him off. A couple of the neighbours and I gave chase and caught what we thought was the suspect (based on age, height, t-shirt pattern, ethnicity, and location - he was the only kid in an empty park behind the house in question) but the neighbour couldn't 100% identify if it was the same kid so the cops then had to let him go (I know where he lives though and where his other family lives too).
One neighbour now has cameras set up and I'm getting some too which will almost cover my entire street. I've been doing some rounds around my neck of the woods at night, looking for people jumping fences, acting suspicious etc., no luck yet but give it time.
