Cairo, Egypt is located inthe continent of Africa. It is about 30 degrees latitude and 31 degreeslongitude. The best way for us to get there is by air but people from a nearbycity::text like Giza would use a car. Cairo is about 50 kilometers from Giza.
Cairo is a nice hot place but be careful you don’t want to get caught ina sandstorm they are rough. Bring shorts and a tee-shirt in the day but, itgets cold at night so still bring some warmer clothes.
Many people know about the pyramids in Gizaand the sphinx. But did you know that thesphinx’s nose was thought to been blown off by Napoleon’s gunners? The sphinx’sbody is a lion and the head is o the pharaoh who designed the sphinx.
The Great Pyramids are in the outskirts of Cairo the biggest of thethree is called Cheops named after the pharaoh buried there.
