Welcome to Clearwater Beach! I got my information from books that talk about Clearwater.
Clearwater Beach, FL, is located about 20 miles east of Tampa, FL, in North America. It is just north of St. Petersburg, FL. There is a city of Clearwater, FL, and a separate city called Clearwater Beach which borders the Gulf of Mexico. If traveling from Michigan, the most common ways to get there include flying into the Tampa International Airport and then driving (taxi or renting a car) to Clearwater Beach. Or, you could drive all the way from Michigan to Florida, which would take over 20 hours!
The weather in Clearwater Beach varies by season. The average year-round temperature is 70 degrees. It is very hot in the summer and cooler in the winter. The average temperature high in the summer months is 82.4 degrees. However, in the winter the average high is 60.1 degrees. I visited Clearwater Beach in February, 2013, and on one of the days the high was only 54 degrees and it was very windy! No matter when you visit Clerawater Beach, if it is sunny you could pack a bathing suit and a variety of summer clothes for during the day. At night it becomes colder and I suggest a sweater or jacket, and long pants if you walk along the beach or in town.

In my opinion, the best place to visit in Clearwater Beach is the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. It is a family-friendly place that includes daily dolphin shows and a touch tank for the sting rays. Other animals in the aquarium are exotic fish, sea turtles, and otters. The aquarium is a rehabilitation center for the animals who get hurt in the wild. When they go to the Marine Aquarium they either stay there for their whole life or they get better and get released back in the wild. Have you ever heard of the movie Dolphin Tale? The main character from the movie is Winter the Dolphin. She is a permanent member of the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Winter is very famous because she lost her tail and was the first dolphin to receive a prosthetic tail that helps her swim. People from all over the world come to see Winter swim, and she inspires people with disabilities that they can still do things that they thought they couldn't do! I saw Winter, and I was inspired to try new things that I never thought I could do. Another interesting place in Clearwater Beach, FL, is the beach. It is pure white sand that feels::text like powder when you walk on it. There are many things that can get washed up on the beach. For instance, I saw many horseshoe crab shells and pen shells. When you go to Celarwater Beach, the sunsets paint the sky with a pink and orange glow. Need a place to stay? The Sandpearl Resort in my opinion is the perfect match for family fun, good food, and great service! The workers are welcoming and the pool is heated to 82 degrees no matter what season. The restaurants at Sandpearl resort,::text like Caretta in the Gulf, have delicious seafood and mouth-watering desserts. I recommend the Vanilla Creme Brulee!
