"At 1045Z TF Catamount reported an explosion of unknown cause at FOB Bermel. There are 4 ANA casualties and 1 US casualty with a hand and lower arm amputation. Spartan submitted a 9-line MEDEVAC request at 1048Z. SPARTAN Med Ops recommended sending all patients to Orgun-E for initial stabilization. Once stable, they recommended transport to Salerno. At 1056Z, Pegasus reported launching the 1st and 2nd Up Medevacs from Salerno. Initial reporting indicates that the explosion was a result of a RPG or hand grenade detonation in the Bermel ASP. The MEDEVAC went wheels up from SAL at 1117Z. Wheels down at Bermal at 1144Z, wheels up at 1155Z enroute to OE. MEDEVAC wheels down at OE at 1159Z. MM(E)02-06B ISAF:"
