Bab Al-Azizia - Violence Against Pro-Democracy Protests in Libya (sitios de interés)

Bab al-Azizia, a 6 km square military barracks and compound, is the main base location for the Libyan leader Colonel Muammar al-Gaddafi. It is located at the northern end of Airport Highway, allowing direct high speed road access to Tripoli International Airport. The site was bombed on April 15, 1986 by the US.
