Geraldo Vandré is a Brazilian guitarist and singer/songwriter born in 1935.
Vandre led a life surrounded by controversy, in 1968 he entered the International Song Contest, but his song was said to have been controversial towards the dictatorship in Brazil at the time. Vandre was exiled and as a result he moved to Rio in 1951.
Since 1973 Vandre has been living in Sao Paulo and has continued to write music.
