Omar is known as one of the greatest guitarists to come from the Arab world. Born in Cairo, 1945.
Khorshid was influenced by artists such as the Beatles and Elvis. Khorshid's talent led him to join contemporary Arabic music leader Abdel Halim Hafez's orchestra which earned him instant fame.
He performed with Oum Kalthoum (one of the queen's of Arabic music) and then he began to record solo albums under the record labels Voice of the Orient and Voice of Lebanon.
He enjoyed a prolific career in Beirut between 1973-1977.
