The sinkhole began to cave in near 377 Sango Road on Sunday because of the amount of rain Clarksville has received in the last few days, said Darnell Black, foreman with the Montgomery County Highway Department.
The hole was about 10 feet wide Monday afternoon, and Black said they plan to dig all of the mud out, fill it back up with large rocks and pour some concrete in it before reopening the road sometime Tuesday afternoon
